Characters

Gomez Addams – Castilian, passionate, “trapped” between his all-consuming love for his wife Morticia---and his promise to keep Wednesday’s secret.

Morticia Addams – sultry, cool, iconic, can’t imagine Wednesday as old enough to marry and suspicious that Gomez is keeping a secret from her.

Fester – sibling to Gomez ,  sentimental, in love with the moon, wants to help Wednesday with her romantic dilemma.

Grandma – Scary herbalist, wicked sense of humor

Wednesday Addams – daughter of the Addams family, normally morbid and now finding herself “pulled in a new direction” as she now is in love with Lucas, described as a “normal” young man.

Pugsley Addams – Wednesday’s younger sibling, likes to be tortured by Wednesday, afraid she will leave the family to be with Lucas and is determined to break up their relationship.

Lurch- very formidable servant, kind of terrifying, hardly speaks or sings---until the end.

Mal Beineke -  Lucas’s father, obsessed with business, he’s lost his humanity & is losing his wife.

Alice Beineke -  Lucas’s mother, determined optimist, likes to rhyme, unsatisfied with the sad change in her formerly loving husband, and is tired of “waiting” for him to realize what he’s risking.

Lucas Beineke – young man in love with Wednesday, determined to be “crazy enough” to win her

Ensemble:  The Addams “Ancestors” – 5m, 5w (or more if desired)— Ghosts from the Addams family past---people from all different historical periods.  [Fester won’t let them go back to their crypts until they help Wednesday].  Involved in many of the musical numbers.
